There’s blood, bullets and non-stop action as DEA agent Maxwell (Dolph Lundgren) goes head-to-head with drug lord Vincent Camastra (Vinnie Jones) on the streets of Los Angeles. Jodie Foster leads an all-star cast in this claustrophobic thriller. The recently divorced Meg (Foster) and her 11-year-old daughter Sarah (Kristen Stewart) have just purchased a large house in New York. But on the night they move in, their home is broken into by three burglars (Jared Leto, Forest Whitaker and Dwight Yoakam), forcing Meg and Sarah to take refuge in their heavily protected panic room. Tightly directed by David Fincher, this is a highly focused exercise in tension.

Bruce Willis stars as police chief Jeff Talley, who has settled down for a simple life of quiet patrols in a blissful suburban hamlet, but finds his peace shattered when a botched home invasion results in a hostage situation. Bearing the scars of traumas suffered during his time as a hostage negotiator, Talley is happy to hand over jurisdiction. But when his own family is threatened as leverage, the reluctant chief finds himself drawn back into the thick of the action.
